A Weekend Of Poignant Tributes And Celebrations

Memorial Day is a time to remember and honor those soldiers who died in service to country, the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend and protect our nation. It's also a time to gather with friends and family, attending parades, ceremonies and grave sites. For many of us, that means a visit to Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, a beautiful resting place for our community's military. We will stroll through the memorial walkway and look out over Mountain Creek Lake, reflecting on the profound service so many of our local heroes gave and continue to give. Gordon Boswell joins you in honoring our country's finest this Memorial Day, and we also know that many of you will be gathering with friends and family to celebrate the fallen heroes you called your own. We'll be hosting backyard barbecues, potluck dinners and more to both commemorate our military connections and to embrace each other at the advent of summer. Inspired Flowers For Earth Day

Earth Day is an annual celebration throughout the United States on April 22. This year is no exception. With bluebonnets in bloom all over north and central Texas, we’re sort of feeling the spring spirit and getting into the gardening mindset, but we have to admit; it’s really hard to get excited about the warm weather when the temperatures in Texas are as extreme as things are big in our state. If you’re wondering what to do or how to celebrate Earth Day, the Gordon Boswell team is here to give you some inspiration. Read More about Inspired Flowers For Earth Day »

Lonely Desktop? Just Add Plants Or Flowers

On April 24, 2018, the business world observes Administrative Professionals Day, which is part of Administrative Professionals Week. The observance was conceived of by Mary Barrett, a former president of the National Secretaries Association, an organization that was formed during World War II as a way to support receptionists and secretaries. The Gordon Boswell team loves to join in campaigns that honor the unsung heroes whose tireless efforts make our lives better in so many ways. Read More about Lonely Desktop? Spring Up Your Home With A Refresh

As Texans, we’re used to experiencing big things, and we’re not strangers to monstrous weather conditions. It’s finally feeling like Spring in our northern part of the Lone Star state, and we see proof of that when we’re out and about because of the patches of blue that dot the landscape. We know it’s spring when bluebonnets bloom. For us, it’s not enough to enjoy the splendor of wildflowers in bloom all over Texas. We feel compelled to bring some of that beauty into our homes and businesses. At Gordon Boswell, we strive to fill our store with a variety of floral tastes of spring so that our customers can fill their homes and workplaces with the warmth and brightness of color, and the freshness of floral scents. A Bulb Basket For Spring

Spring is here. The surest sign that spring is finally here in Texas is the sight of bluebonnets. While we’re basking in delightful temperatures and enjoying cloudless skies, the Northeastern part of the United States is bracing for - or already experiencing another Nor’easter. But all that beautiful weather outside leaves our indoor work and living spaces dreary and empty. Thankfully, Gordon Boswell has a vast array of colorful flower arrangements and potted plants that are ideal for adding a touch of spring to your home or business. Flowers are a nice alternative to the traditional candy baskets that people typically give to others for Easter. Read More about A Bulb Basket For Spring »

Ode To The Fragrant Hyacinth

Most Texans are undoubtedly fed up with winter weather. We certainly are, and even though we’re now on Daylight’s Savings, you never know what type of severe weather Mother Nature will unleash on North Texas before the temperatures finally warm up enough for us to enjoy vistas of bluebonnets and other wildflowers as they bloom in sequence. Luckily, people in the Fort Worth area can count on Gordon Boswell to entice their eyes and noses with beautiful flowers and great smells. Read More about Ode To The Fragrant Hyacinth »
