Well, not just any gift basket. We here at Gordon Boswell want to be clear: this June 17, otherwise known as Father’s Day, you’re going to want to give a particular kind of gift basket to the dad (or dads) in your life. Don’t overthink it. Simply imagine what your father or the father in your life would always love to receive, and the answer becomes easy. Straight up goodies. Delectable treats and snacks that can carry him through the game, the soccer practice, the long meetings at work. A basket of dad-centric indulgence that would make anyone of that persuasion happy.
On June 8, we’re called upon to celebrate our BFFs. National Best Friend’s Day is no lark—it’s a legit occasion during which we fete our most fabulous friends with flowers. (Also, dinner, possibly brunch, maybe a cocktail or two.) Gordon Boswell is more than happy to match you up with the perfect flowers to symbolize your perfect friendship, and also to express the things you can’t when it comes to your best friend. It’s rare that we run out of things to say to such a person, but if we do, flowers can bridge the gap. They can also elaborate on how we feel, ensuring that our strongest feelings are given a voice.
One of the best ways to add a little verve to your space is to embrace spring and early summer’s energetic blossoms. There’s a whole range on offer, representing every color in the rainbow and a crop of styles to boot. Everything from peony to hibiscus is in bloom (or will be shortly), making it possible to build truly spectacular custom arrangements to suit any taste. If you want to inject a little seasonal spirit into your life, start bringing home flowers now. Gordon Boswell is happy to help you find just the thing you’re looking for, whether you want garden-inspired and wild or a bowl of popping red Gerbera daisies for your desk at work.
Memorial Day is a time to remember and honor those soldiers who died in service to country, the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend and protect our nation. It’s also a time to gather with friends and family, attending parades, ceremonies and grave sites. For many of us, that means a visit to Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, a beautiful resting place for our community’s military. We will stroll through the memorial walkway and look out over Mountain Creek Lake, reflecting on the profound service so many of our local heroes gave and continue to give.
Gordon Boswell joins you in honoring our country’s finest this Memorial Day, and we also know that many of you will be gathering with friends and family to celebrate the fallen heroes you called your own. We’ll be hosting backyard barbecues, potluck dinners and more to both commemorate our military connections and to embrace each other at the advent of summer.
It’s hard to believe that Mother’s Day is almost here, but it is. And that means it’s time to start thinking about gifts to give our mothers for their special day. The Gordon Boswell team is working hard to come up with a variety of gorgeous and over-the-top flower arrangements that are worthy of a Texas-size and Texas-style Mother’s Day celebration.
As the end of another school year approaches, soon-to-be graduates are planning for the next chapter of their lives. Whether you’re about to celebrate a middle school, high school, or college graduation, each one represents a milestone in the lives of graduating students. At Gordon Boswell, we’re eager to help our Fort Worth area customers turn their celebrations into a grand old Texas-sized event, as they should be.
The first week of May is packed with celebrations that recognize professionals. Following a week of honoring nurses, we celebrate National Nurses’ Day on May 12th, the birthdate of Florence Nightengale. Teacher Appreciation Week takes place between May 7th, and May 11th, with the day devoted to showing appreciation for teachers falling on May 8th. Flowers are a customary gift to give to these people as a symbol of your gratitude, respect, and appreciation. Gordon Boswell is proud to participate in events that pay homage to two critical groups of unsung heroes in our community.
Earth Day is an annual celebration throughout the United States on April 22. This year is no exception. With bluebonnets in bloom all over north and central Texas, we’re sort of feeling the spring spirit and getting into the gardening mindset, but we have to admit; it’s really hard to get excited about the warm weather when the temperatures in Texas are as extreme as things are big in our state. If you’re wondering what to do or how to celebrate Earth Day, the Gordon Boswell team is here to give you some inspiration.
On April 24, 2018, the business world observes Administrative Professionals Day, which is part of Administrative Professionals Week. The observance was conceived of by Mary Barrett, a former president of the National Secretaries Association, an organization that was formed during World War II as a way to support receptionists and secretaries. The Gordon Boswell team loves to join in campaigns that honor the unsung heroes whose tireless efforts make our lives better in so many ways.
As Texans, we’re used to experiencing big things, and we’re not strangers to monstrous weather conditions. It’s finally feeling like Spring in our northern part of the Lone Star state, and we see proof of that when we’re out and about because of the patches of blue that dot the landscape. We know it’s spring when bluebonnets bloom. For us, it’s not enough to enjoy the splendor of wildflowers in bloom all over Texas. We feel compelled to bring some of that beauty into our homes and businesses. At Gordon Boswell, we strive to fill our store with a variety of floral tastes of spring so that our customers can fill their homes and workplaces with the warmth and brightness of color, and the freshness of floral scents.
